Frequently Asked Questions

Products and Services

What synthesis services does Ansa offer?

Ansa offers two Early Access service options: enzymatic DNA synthesis of sequences up to 600 bp, provided as clonal genes or as gene fragments. At Ansa, our services are focused on providing complex DNA sequences that other companies might reject, experience failures with or take up to months to deliver.

Can I have clonal genes provided in my own vector?

We currently offer clonal genes in a pANSA_v1_(Amp) vector.

What is the vector that Ansa’s clonal genes are provided in?

Ansa’s clonal genes are currently provided in the pANSA_v1_(Amp) vector. This vector contains a standard ampicillin (carbenicillin) resistance marker, is medium copy vector (pMB1/rop; ~20 copies/cell) with an M13 origin. It is compatible with Golden Gate Cloning. The plasmid also contains several barcodes that are utilized for sample processing that are randomly assigned during our synthesis process.

What timeline can I expect my project to be provided?

In our Early Access Program, we aim for a competitive 18-22 business day turnaround time (TAT) for clonal genes and 7-10 business days for gene fragments. These times will be further reduced with our full-service launch in the first part of 2024.

What are some examples of the kinds of complex sequences Ansa’s enzymatic DNA synthesis can generate?

Ansa can synthesize challenging sequences, including non-coding elements like promoters and ITRs and CRISPR array sequences. Our focus is on the synthesis of complex sequences that include features such as very high or low GC content, multiple repeats, and sequences with secondary structure.

What is Ansa’s Early Access Program?

Ansa’s Early Access Program enables you to access our DNA synthesis service prior to its full-service launch in mid-2024. In our Early Access Program we offer synthesis of complex gene fragments and clonal genes up to 600 bp, and we provide free consultation and special Early Access pricing.
