How does Ansa’s gene synthesis differ from traditional providers?

Ansa uses enzymatic DNA synthesis, enabling accurate construction of DNA fragments, clonal DNA, and ultra-long sequences up to 50 kb. Unlike other DNA synthesis providers, Ansa’s technology is based on TdT-dNTP conjugates—specialized enzymatic reagents that allow rapid and controlled single-base additions to a DNA molecule. This innovative approach overcomes the limitations of chemical synthesis and was designed for exceptional accuracy, speed, and reliability.

What types of DNA products does Ansa offer, and how fast can I receive them?

Ansa provides three core products with delivery times starting as follows:

  • DNA Fragments (≤600 bp): Starting at 5 business days
  • Clonal DNA (≤7.5 kb): Starting at 13 business days
  • XL Clonal DNA (7.5–50 kb): Starting at 25 business days
How do I order custom gene synthesis from Ansa?

You can request a quote or place an order directly via the Ansa eCommerce portal. Simply create an account, provide your desired DNA sequences and project specifications, and you will receive a quote and committed delivery date within minutes.

Genome synthesis, assembly, and rebooting of therapeutically useful high G+C% mycobacteriophages

See how complex, high G+C% phage genomes can be built and rebooted, advancing our understanding of phage biology and opening new paths for therapeutic development. Published in PNAS via collaboration between the Hatfull Lab at University of Pittsburg, New England Biolabs, and Ansa Biotechnologies.

Better Biosecurity for DNA Synthesis in the AI Era

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion about AI and biosecurity at the annual SynBioBeta meeting. Those of us closest to this issue, including my colleagues and I at Ansa, feel a great sense of urgency about improving biosecurity practices for DNA synthesis. The promi…

Ansa’s Enzymatic DNA Synthesis Technology: Where It All Began

We didn’t start off as DNA synthesis technology developers; we started off as customers. We were stunned to learn how difficult it was to acquire the DNA we needed for our experiments — and when we traced the problems back to their roots, most of them stemmed from the chemical synthesis approach…

Ansa Is Proud to Support iGEM Teams. Check Out These Amazing Projects!

When MIT scientists Drew Endy, Tom Knight, and Randy Rettberg held a month-long biological engineering program back in 2003, they probably never imagined that it would pave the way for the iGEM annual synthetic biology competition that has been going strong for more than two decades.
